Welcome to Week 9 of remote learning!

This is our LAST week of school! To celebrate, we are finishing our Patriotic Song Palooza! Our highlighted song this week is...... Battle Hymn of the Republic! You will find the sing-a-long videos with me in each of your grade levels. Right below here is a performance from The United States Army Field Band. Notice which verses you know and which verses are new. Do they sing it more allegro or adagio? Find the conductor, the singers, and instruments you know!

We have a second student rhythm by for those students who want a challenge! It was composed by Marcus!! Yay! Practice it by yourself and then clap it with me! The rhythm with beat dots are below the video if you want some help.

Mystery Rhythm, Week 7:

A little history of J.S. Bach-
Which composer do we know (other than Bach) was mentioned in this video? How is he connected to J.S. Bach?

-Music by J.S. Bach-

For the Cello - "Cello Suite No. 5 in c minor" performed by Yo-Yo Ma

For orchestra and voices - "Jauchzet, frohlocket" from J.S. Bach's Christmas Oratorio.
I had the privilege to sing this piece in college. It is dear to my heart. Challenge: Count how many times you hear the singers sing the words  "Jauchzet, frohlocket"! (It is the first phrase you hear the singers sing)

For the Organ - "Toccata & Fugue in d minor"

You know this one well!
